Reactoonz

The Reactoonz slot is a Cluster Pays game released by Play'n GO way back in 2017. It features Play'n GO's signature 7x7 grid that can be found on the majority of their Cluster Pays slots such as Gemix. It also comes with a range of bonus features triggered by collecting symbols in a metre. 

To form wins, players need to land clusters of 5 or more matching symbols. These need to be in adjacent positions on the rows or reels, horizontally or vertically. Diagonal clusters don't count. Every win is followed by cascades, which continue as long as new winning clusters are formed. 

The symbols are all weird alien blobs. We won’t go into the details of the paytable here, but you can tell the low-paying and premium symbols apart by the eyes. Low pays have only one, while premiums have two or more!

Even before the reels start spinning, this is an entertaining game, with the animated aliens jigging around and staring at each other and the player. And if you take too long to press spin, they’ll get bored and start chatting with each other.

The Wild is a whirl of light, but it doesn’t land on the reels in the normal way. On every spin, a one-eyed symbol low-paying symbol is randomly surrounded by a halo of light. If this low-value symbol is involved in forming a winning combination, it generates two Wilds on the following spin.

There is also Gargantoon who sits beside the grid waiting to receive a surge of energy from the Quantum Metre. This will make him spring into life and onto the grid, where he’ll modify the reels to great effect. He can also blast Wilds onto the reels at random after a non-winning spin. 

To the right of the reel is a metre, where all the symbols from a winning cluster are collected. When the counter for each symbol reaches 25, the energy stored is transferred to the Quantum Metre and triggers one of four Quantum Leap Reel Modifiers:

Implosions transform between three and six random symbols on the reels into Wilds.

Alteration changes all instances of one of the low-value one-eyed aliens into a different symbol.

Demolition clears away all of the one-eyed symbols from the grid to create a cascade.

Incision places a Wild symbol in the central position of the reels with matching regular symbols stretching in diagonals from it to the corners of the grid.

Once the player has triggered all the Quantum Leap Reel Modifiers and filled up the Quantum metre again, the Gargantoon enters the game. He’ll leap onto the reels a giant 3x3 Wild, before splitting into smaller Wilds at the end of each cascade sequence to end up as 9 individual Wilds scattered around the grid. 

There’s always something happening on the reels in Reactoonz, with base game modifiers, giant symbols, cascades, and the cheerful little aliens chatting away. It’s a fun game with good win potential, but it’s also easy to get carried away with the non-stop action. This is why you should always set a loss limit before playing.
