Prized Pets Gigablox

I know foxes aren’t exactly domesticated animals, even if I like to wear a suit meself. But that doesn’t mean we have no objection to poking around a pet shop lookin’ to pick up a few treats, does it, me furry friends.

Prized Pets Gigablox is a slot by Northern Lights and Ygdrassil that is set in a pet shop and features the Gigabloxs mechanism we first saw in Ygdrassil's Lucky Neko Gigablox set in a Japanese souvenir store. Ygddrassil have also brought us 60 Second Heist and - keeping on the pet theme, Pushy Cats, which you can play at Foxy Bingo.

As well as the Gigablox mechanism, which is constantly changing the size of the symbols on the reels, there's a chance to collect bones to trigger one of three great Jackpot games and more!

All the symbols in the game are themed, with the lower values ones being carrots, sunflowers, fish, or dog food. These award a maximum payout of 2.5x the bet for six on a payline. The higher value pets, rabbit, bird, cat, or dog symbols are worth 5-8 times the stake for six.  

A fancy collar on a cushion is the Wild. This can land on all reels and will pay up to 8 x the bet for a line of six, as well as standing in for regular pay symbol to help complete a win.

The Gigablox mechanism means that on each spin, 2-6 reels can merge together to create blocks of giga-symbols. Up to all six reels could merge, leaving just one giant 6x4 Gigablox symbol. To calculate wins, every position that a Gigablox symbol occupies counts as one of that symbol, so this mechanism can really help players build combos and score wins. It’s particularly useful when the Wild lands as a Gigablox, which can happen.

Along with the chopping and changing number of symbols on the reels, there are a few other treats for lucky foxes and other animals in this game. 

The Chomp Chomp Wild Bonus is a random feature that can kick in at any time. One of the four pets, the dog, cat, bird, or parrot, will peek around the edge of the grid. If any of their favourite food symbols are on the grid, they’ll wolf ‘em down and turn the position Wild.  

The Free Spins will activate when five or more Scatter symbols land on the reels. Players are awarded one Free Spin for every Scatter landed and an extra spin for each Scatter that lands during the round. The gameplay is no different from the base game, but the curious pets will peek around the reels more often, triggering the Chomp Chomp Wild bonus to up the win potential of the Free Spins. 

Sometimes symbols will land with some bones attached to them. These bones are collected in the pot, and when the player has enough, the Jackpot Bonus game can trigger. This gives the lucky fox the chance to play for one of the four jackpots you can see on the left of the grid. Twelve trophy symbols appear covered in a red cloth. Players pick these one at a time, and if they find three matching trophies, they receive the corresponding jackpot.
