NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token, and I’m sure there’s a lot of Foxy Bingo friends out there scratchin’ their heads trying to work out what that means. I’d love to try and explain it to you, but we don’t have the time or the space.
Let's just say NFTs are a form of digital art that some say is the biggest thing since sliced bread, and for others, just another digital bandwagon that's going to crash and burn. Whatever we may believe, the important thing here is that they're the inspiration behind the casino game NFT Megaways by Red Tiger Gaming.
The grid has six reels and between 2 and 8 symbols that can land on each, and a horizontal reel with four positions across the top of the grid, the Crypto Punks Bar. When all these reels are fully loaded with symbols, there are 200,704 ways to win on the grid.
If you haven't dipped your paws into the crypto markets, you might have trouble recognising the low-paying symbols on this game, as they're all cryptocurrency logos; Doge, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin.
The premium symbols all reference current pop-culture. There’s Tesla’s Cybertruck, the blue Twitter bird, Mona Lisa in Thug Life shades, a Shiba Inu, and a 'diamond hands' symbol – a reference to Reddit.
The Crypto Punk character symbols act as Wilds. These will only land on the Crypto Punk Bar, and will help form winning combos by substituting for regular symbols. The Scatter is a coin that says Crypto Spins and triggers the Crypto Spins round when three or more land.
Megaways slots can look a bit complicated with the extra reels and the changing rows, but don't fret, me furry friends, they're usually a doddle to play. Just set your bet level anywhere between 0.20 and 10.00, and you're ready.
Now we get to the part that all Foxy's slot-lovin' friends have been waiting for; the bonus features. And Foxy can tell you now; this game is just full of them.
The first is the good ol' cascading reels, where all symbols that formed a win explode off the reels, and new ones tumble down to take their place. This chain reaction continues until no new wins are formed.
The 4 Crypto Punks are Wild symbols and only land on the Crypto Punks Bar. These help out lucky foxes in forming wins, but that’s not all. Any time they are involved in a win with the low-paying symbols, they collect them. The Wild multiplier is then increased by + 1 for each symbol collected, up to a limit of 30 x. When two Wilds are involved in the same win, they multiply each other. In the base game, the multipliers reset on every spin.
3, 4, 5, or 6 Crypto Spins symbols anywhere on the reels trigger 10, 15, 20, or 25 Crypto Spins. This is the Free Spins round, and here the 4 Crypto Punk Wilds get their own metre at the side of the reels. As the Punks help form wins, any low-paying symbols involved are added to the metre and increase the wild multiplier, just lie in the base game. The difference here is that the multipliers don't reset after each spin; they just keep on climbing up to the 30 x limit. The Crypto Spins Scatter can also land during this round and award more free spins for 3 +.
Crypto-lovin’ foxes out there will be right at home with this online slot, and not just because of the symbols. Watching the multipliers in the base game climb higher and higher just to come crashing down again the next second will be a very familiar feeling. It’s a wild ride, but at least NFT Megaways gives some stability in the Crypto Spins. And it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to play. Just remember to set sensible loss limits for each session.
