It’s time to crack out the rods and reels and take off for a bit of deep sea fishing once again, Foxy Bingo friends. Boat Bonanza is Play’n Go’s take on the whole fishing theme, made so popular by online slots like Big Bass and Fishin’ Frenzy.

And true to form, Play'n Go have taken a popular theme and put their own stamp on it. The grid is set deep underwater, and above the reels, we can see two fishing boats and the skyline of a seaside town.  

On the lower end of the paytable are 10-A card rank symbols, worth 10x the bet for five of a kind, while the premiums are nets, seagulls, reels, and buoys, paying 50 to 200 times the stake for five of a kind. The 5-reel, 3-row grid has 12 paylines, and it will cost players between 0.20 to 50 per spin to bait their hooks and try to land some fish in this high-volatility game.  

There are no Wilds in Boat Bonanza, but fret not, me furry friends; there's still plenty of potential from the Cash collect feature in the base game, and the Free Spins.

Boat Bonanza is all about landing fish. These appear with cash values attached in both the base game and the Free Spins, and the bigger the fish, the higher the value up to 1,000 x the bet.  

In the Free Spins, multiplier symbols can also land, and these will be applied to any wins on the Cash Collect feature. Free Spin symbols that add to the remaining total can also land during the bonus round. 

Sharp eyed players will have noticed the two boats floating above the grid. These appear dark when they are inactive, but they can light up at random, and when they do, they’ll catch all the fish on the reel below, awarding the Cash values to the player.  

If the two boats become active when they are above the same reel, the Mega Catch is triggered, and they'll haul in all the fish on the grid.  

3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols trigger 10, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively. In Free Spins, the two boats are constantly active, catching extra Free Spin symbols, multipliers and fish. If the Mega Catch is triggered, the multiplier of both boats are combined and applied to the win.  

Whenever the boats haul in a fish Cash symbol, respins are awarded. All the symbols are cleared from the reels, and only Cash symbols land. The respins continue as long as the boats keep making catches.

What I like about Boat Bonanza is the boats, which cast their lines into the deep and try to hook some cash for the players. It's a small detail, but really adds to the whole experience.
